The Last Lecture Project
"We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand."
- Randy Pausch
You have selected a historically significant individual. Throughout the year you will do "mini-projects" and assignments involving your person to help you get to know them better. These activities use the information you have gathered on your person to put together a final presentation showcasing your ability to analyze your individual and discern their thoughts and decisions.
In addition, you will read and watch The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. From there, you will write the “Last Lecture” of your historical person. Remember, you are BECOMING this person for the presentation. This means you should research their mannerisms, speech, dress, etc. If you do not wear a costume, professional dress is expected.
More information on specific assignments and the overall project will be found throughout the year on the Project Resources page. You will answer the Discussion Questions as you read The Last Lecture in the spring.
